The best part of living in Florida is early Spring and Summer fashion!

This spring I am going to be wearing a lot of sets. They are so fashionable and flirty.

My look is honestly perfect for a picnic or any fun day out doors. The set has one of the most popular prints right now, gingham. I personally am trying not to over use this print since it is EVERYWHERE. But, wearing it in moderation is still trendy and relevant.

Now, for a print and fruit I am all about this season is cherries! Such a fun and girly detailing which is why I fell in LOVE with this jacket! Denim Jackets are such a staple piece in my wardrobe (I may own a bit too many…) because they work with almost any outfit. So when I saw the cherries on this jacket I bought it instantly.

“Paris was a universe: whole and entire unto herself, hollowed and fashioned by history; so she seemed in this age of Napoleon III with her towering buildings, her massive cathedrals, her grand boulevards and ancient winding medieval streets–as vast and indestructible as nature itself. All was embraced by her, by her volatile and enchanted populace thronging the galleries, the theaters, the cafes, giving birth over and over to genius and sanctity, philosophy and war, frivolity and the finest art; so it seemed that if all the world outside her were to sink into darkness, what was fine, what was beautiful, what was essential might there still come to its finest flower. Even the majestic trees that graced and sheltered her streets were attuned to her–and the waters of the Seine, contained and beautiful as they wound through her heart; so that the earth on that spot, so shaped by blood and consciousness, had ceased to be the earth and had become Paris.”

My entire life I have always dreamed about traveling outside of the US. To finally explore different cultures and learn about the vast history of these cities and just gain more perspective.

Well, this past year I finally got myself a passport and decided I am 22 years old and I’m not getting any younger so I might as well explore the world before I have any real responsibilities. So I started thinking, where would be my first adventure? Rome? Barcelona? Ireland? So many beautiful countries and now with my little blue book, they were all at the palm of my hand.

Paris is a magical place you have always heard stories about. “The City of Love”, “The City of Lights”.

I remember watching one of my favorite movies, “Midnight in Paris” and thinking to myself, is it really like that? Endless streets of beautiful buildings that are hundreds of years old, Palaces filled with gold and unbelievable gardens, and of course, the delicious pastries.

So I knew Paris had to be my first stop and let me tell you, any movie you have seen, any picture you have looked at, or any story you have heard does not live up to the beauty Paris. This city was absolutely breathtaking, it almost didn’t feel real! I was only there for a short amount of time but I already know I want to visit again and again!

I love every aspect of Paris but I think if I had to choose my favorite day of sight-seeing, it had to be exploring the Chateau De Versailles. I couldn’t believe there was a time when kings and queens would call this place their home. Huge doesn’t even describe the size of this Palace. I loved walking through each room and learning about the history of each. My favorite had to be “The Hall of mirrors.” My god, was that beautiful. If you are traveling to Paris anytime soon, make sure to add this to your list of places to visit.

FYI: If you plan to visit the Chateau De Versailles, make sure you get there very early in the day because I arrived around 3 pm and the line to get in was about a 2 hour wait. (Also, buy your tickets ahead of time!!)

You also can’t visit Paris without seeing the Arc De Triomphe!! A very touristy spot but it is worth the crowds. I unfortunately was not able to climb to the top of it because I got there too late but I know next time I visit, that will be on my to-do list. I heard the view is amazing.

Paris for me, was the perfect start to my adventures! Traveling is really one of my top passions and I can not wait to visit more amazing cultures that help me grow into a more well-rounded person (sounds kind of lame but it is true, haha!)

Paris will always have a special place in my heart.

Summer is the time for a delicious fruit cake! When it is 90 degrees out and you’re throwing a party, you don’t want something heavy like a chocolate filled cake. So I decided to bake a cake filled with strawberries (:

Now for the frosting and strawberry jam, I kind of cheated and bought those at my local grocery store but if you want to make homemade butter cream you can use this recipe and for the jam you can use this recipe

TIP: Pipe icing in bag and use that to fill the center of the cake because it makes the layering more even and no chances of a wabbly cake.

This cake was an absolute success with my friends and family and was eaten in a couple of minutes! So if you’re looking for a new recipe, I highly recommend this one!

I spend this Fourth of July weekend lounged out on a beach attempting to get a bronzed tan and trying my hardest not to turn into a lobster instead. I absolutely love the beach. No matter what is going on in your life whether that be stress from you job, family issues, boyfriend problems; once you set yourself on the sand, all of that disappears and all you can hear is the sound of the ocean. I just love it!

Everything I am wearing can be purchased at Forever 21. I would leave links but they are all sold out online, but I’m sure they still have these products in their stores.

Baking has always been one of my favorite hobby and past times. I can spend hours and hours in the kitchen baking and decorating, I just love it. strangely enough I have always enjoyed the baking part more than the eating part. I mostly just let my family and friends eat away all the goods.

Oreo flavored anything is just a yes. So I decided to make some Oreo cupcakes! It is actually so simple and so much fun to make.

All you will need to bake these vanilla cupcakes is:

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour.
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder.
  • 1/4 tsp. salt.
  • 3/4 cup sugar.
  • 6 Tbs. (3/4 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature.
  • 1 whole egg plus 1 egg white, at room temperature.
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract.
  • 1/2 cup milk.
  • 1 pack of Oreo cookies.

I just bought the icing pre-made at my local grocery store but you can definitely make your own!

At the bottom of each cupcake tin I placed a Oreo and poured the cupcake mix on top so once you eat the cupcake you’ll have nice surprise at the end!

Also, to make the Oreo icing, I simply crushed up a lot of Oreos and poured it into the icing and mixed it all together and just used a piping bag to decorate the cupcakes!

And there you have it!
